Alzubra began dancing in 1998, her first forays into dance were jazz and ballet. She danced for three years, but put her desire to dance and perform on hold until 2004 to attend college. While Alzubra was in college and starting a family, a friend of hers was taking bellydance lessons at Oakland Terrace. Once school slowed down enough to allow for a free Wednesday night Bellydance became her new creative outlet. Alzubra prefers upbeat music and quasi-tribal fusion costumes.
